The City of St. Joseph, MN, is accepting applications for a full-time Police Officer. The department is a 24-hour department with no on-call time. Officers work 10-hour shifts with two 5-day rotations, one 6-day rotation, and 4 days off between each rotation. This schedule gives officers two weekends off per month.
New officers with up to 2 years full-time experience will receive:
$1,500 to complete probation
$1,500 paid upon 2 years of continued service in the City of St Joseph.
Officers with 2+ years of full-time experience will receive:
$2,500 to complete probation
$2,500 paid upon 2 years of continued service in the City of St Joseph.
ADDITONALLY: All new hires will receive 40 hrs vacation and 40 hours sick leave frontloaded upon hire.
Lateral pay (2025 contract) up to step 5, Step 1 $32.50/hr, Step 2 $34.11/hr, Step 3 $35.82/hr, Step 4 $37.44/hr, Step 5 $39.12/hr
