The City of East Grand Forks is accepting applications for the position of full-time Police Officer.
The Department has 23 sworn officers, and our Patrol schedule consists of 12-hour shifts with every other weekend off (5 days off in a row on your weekend off). Upon completion of probation, officers are eligible for a variety of career opportunities including positions with the Grand Forks Regional Special Operations Group (SWAT, Crisis Negotiations, Bomb Squad, Water Rescue and UAS). The EGFPD also has an SRO, K-9 Program, Bike Patrol, Drug Recognition Expert, Drug Task Force and other opportunities.
Regular overtime opportunities are available.
Pay Range: $61,568-$84,905 (2025 wages 2024-2025 Contract) for Police Officers. Night Shift Differential of $1.25 per hour. The Department also has Corporals and Sergeants working in Patrol. Lateral Officers typically start at Step 3-5 of the Pay Scale ($66,851-$72,113) based upon experience.
