1. Call to Order
In attendance in person were Elissa Golden, Kimberly Coulter, Patti Dillon Adeana Gilliland,
Amy Biren, Karen Edson, Wendy Nelson, Melissa Lawrence, Cristina Vang, Grace Walmsley,
Debi Close, Angie Wiese, Julie Hultman
2. Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes – March 2025
Motion to approve the minutes was made by Kimberly Coulter and seconded by Amy Biren
3. Treasurer’s report
Julie went over the treasurer’s report and discussion of our scholarship program and ideas
going forward since January Education is no longer being put on by U of M. One idea may
be Leadership Academy which is held in the spring. Anyone can attend. Grace Walmsley
motioned to approve with Karen Edson seconding the motion
4. Education
January education is gone. 10K is looking at taking it over and is working with the U of M and
the state to get guidance with the process of holding this educational opportunity. Looking
for ideas and topics for fall education. Will be sending out survey monkey in June to give
feedback on the fall education and MBPTA as well.
5. Social Media
Web site will be changing, and we will be able to put more information on the web site. A
notice will be sent out to let you know when that is up and fully operational. We have been
trying to post more on Facebook as well if there is anything someone wants to see put on the
page let Kimberly or Elissa know. Membership list should be reviewed and updated as it was
brought to our attention that some people are not getting any emails. If you are not receiving
the emails, let the board know.
6. Open Forum
Looking into ways to make meetings less cumbersome and easier for those that want to
attend virtually. Most or if not, all have Teams available to them. Will look to move forward
with a Teams meeting in the future.
Notifications and reminders of events and meetings. How is that going? What would you like
to add?
Feedback on the format of the meetings. Open to any ideas. Ideas for fall education are
solar, decks, and inspection practices.
