Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board

Patrol all properties and adjacent areas owned and operated by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) maintaining law and order and proactively working to solve problems, support MPRB field staff, address crime/safety issues and develop positive community relationships.  The academy for new recruits is tentatively scheduled for October 2025.

Minimum Requirements:
•Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must submit proof of degree by 9/30/25.
•Successful completion of all requirements for peace officer licensing by the Minnesota Peace Officers Standards and Training Board.  Must submit a copy of Minnesota P.O.S.T. License or proof of passing P.O.S.T. exam by 9/30/25.
•Must meet all MN P.O.S.T. License Minimum Selection Standards and background requirements
•City of Minneapolis resident (preferred)
•Fluency in a second language (preferred)
